AMERICAN LEGION (Los Angeles, California) – In tribute to the Medal of Honor and in celebration of the American Legion’s 100th anniversary of “Still Serving”, American Legion Post 283 of Pacific Palisades will host a Medal of Honor evening intended to bring recognition to our Medal of Honor recipients. Included in our program located at the Theatre at Ace in Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, March 2nd at 7 pm, will be a red carpet where Medal of Honor recipients, local political leaders, veterans, active-duty military, and community supporters will have an opportunity to come together for one purpose, to celebrate the Medal of Honor. Further, we will host a screening of an episode (Edward Allen Carter Jr.) of the original Netflix Medal of Honor series followed by a discussion and Q & A.
This event will honor the uncommon valor and sacrifice of our Medal of Honor recipients while bringing awareness to Medal of Honor Day, a federal holiday, which takes place annually on March 25th. The American Legion asks that all Americans take a moment to cherish the freedom and democracy these heroic members of our nation’s military fought so hard to defend around the world. Finally, we ask for this great nation’s continued support for our service-members and veterans.
